No One Understands The Pain...

"If you don't have (or have never had) the problem, then you have no clue how it feels."

Sound familiar?

I once had terrible skin health. I had it for years and I remember full well what that feels like and how outraged and angry I became when nothing I did seemed to help.

I have often said that people who do not have skin issues like acne and acne scarring have no clue about the emotional torture that sufferers go through on a daily basis.

It is there when you go to bed at night and the first thing you notice in the mirror as you start your day. They don't have to deal with it so they do not know.

The feeling you get is not just frustration either, it's almost a feeling of your own body working against you and certainly a feeling of something being wrong with you some how.

It goes way beyond the way you feel about how you look as well. It's hurtful and depressing and you feel like you spend all your time aware of it, so it robs you of being present and enjoying anything your doing.

Then comes the determination to get your skin clear and back to how you know it should look. So you take a deep breath and try this product and that product, and this experts plan or that doctors plan.

You may even spend the money on expensive clinic visits and prescription drugs before you finally throw in the towel thinking your destined to have the problem forever no matter what you do.

Somehow at this point you also know that how torn up your feeling and the stress over your skin can't be helping. But at that point it's like a vicious cycle of being angry for a few days to giving in and trying "yet one more thing".

I know, I have been there.

You know it is horrible to feel that way about yourself and your own skin, and you understand it's not helping things, but nonetheless that is exactly how you feel.

I'm going to tell you right now that you are right, feeling this way about yourself and your body is not helpful and it sends a reinforcing message to yourself that says, "there really IS something wrong with me."

Please understand you're not alone. Just like this lovely lady who wrote me on Facebook about her bout with adult acne:

"Chris, please help me. I am desperate. I went from being an attractive woman full of life and working two jobs to support my kids and being an agoraphobic. I have lost my job, my unemployment is almost run out and i can barely make it out of the house to go to my college classes because I cant stand people to see me, let alone have any confidence to be able to look for a job. I shop only in the wee hours of the morning, I rarely go out during the daylight hours. I am on the brink of taking my own life. a little over a year ago i went from never having a blemish to feeling like a freak....

Tues I woke up with a cyst so large on my chin that my whole jaw, my teeth and even my ears hurt. I look like I put an egg in my bottom lip. i cant express enough how desperate I am. I have been going to my dermatologist for 18 months now. 1st he per scribed a sulfa based antibiotic that almost killed me. 4 trips to the ER before they realized I was going into anaphylaxis shock from the antibiotic. Now I go every two weeks and have been for over a year and get chemical peels that he suggests, but nothing is getting better. On top of the looks of this the pain is unbelievable with the size of cysts I am getting and the scarring that it is causing. Please help. You don't know how hard it was for me to reach out."

Of course I and the Ginale Skin Care team are helping Barbara, but this is a direct example of how acne and other skin problems make you feel... like there is NO hope even when you're trying everything you know to do.

Well, I'm here to tell you it isn't you! There IS absolutely nothing wrong with you.

When your skin is finally clear and the pain and struggle of trying to get there is behind you... you will see clearly how your own feelings played a part in your problem.

So how does one calm down, how does one detach, and finally resolve their skin problems?

By understanding that it is simply your body trying to do its job of getting you healthy. Your body doesn't care what you see in the mirror in the morning... it cares about living and breathing for a long time.

Your biology is designed to get you through life in one piece, and when something is awry it let's you know about it. It doesn't care you have a date, or that it's your wedding day, it just cares about living and letting go of things that are hurting it.

When you understand you can "let go" of the war you're having with yourself, amazingly the energy of hope and determination will return and you can make better decisions that will end it.

I had to do this and it wasn't until I did that I found the answers that I share with you today. You're NOT your skin problem.

When you start feeling this way remind yourself of this... take a deep breath and please let that go.

There are pictures of my acne ridden face in the back of family albums that still give me pause on the rare occasion I see them. But, I know that will never happen to me again and the scars that once crossed my face no longer rule my life.

In fact, they have landed me into a life of helping others with skin care issues in a very public way, so I guess I'm getting revenge on my acne problem each day in a way.

This is why I spend so much time on how important your skin care products and your diet are to you, so you can have the clear, scar free, or ageless skin you want so badly.

It's time for you to get out of your way and let me help you. You deserve what you want for your skin and health, and the tools are here and I am here for you as well.

I've put together a 45-minute video that walks you through exactly what I did and it can help to get rid of your pain that acne or other skin issues cause you.

All you have to do is follow through to the next link to watch it and you will have a complete understanding of what is causing your struggle and what to do about it starting today.

Thank you so much for this article. It is true! Many people do not understand the pain. I am tired of people asking me if I got beat up because my face is swollen and red. This hurts down to my soul.
