This Nutrient Rocks Your Skin Into Renewing Itself!

I hope today is progressing better than you expected. It is always nice when that happens. :-)

I know I have spent a lot of time discussing foods, vitamins, and even some minerals that are good for you and your skin, as well as spelling out what you should avoid.

Today we are going to switch gears (so to speak) and talk about nutrients that work well when applied topically as well as taken internally.

A lot of the current and more exciting new skin research looks beyond vitamins and minerals to these other nutrients I am going to go over. When taken internally or applied topically, these nutrients can have remarkable effects on your skin.

Alpha-Lipoic Acid

A powerful antioxidant that is hundreds of times more potent than either vitamin C or E believe it or not! Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) is turning out to be a super magic bullet for aging skin and its effects.

What makes it so special? Skin experts say it is the ability of this nutrient to penetrate both oil and water, affecting skin cells from both the inside and the outside of the body. Almost all other antioxidants can do one but not both.

More specifically, explains one health expert Mary Sullivan, "Alpha-Lipoic Acid, like vitamins C and E, neutralizes skin cell damage caused by free radicals. Some studies show it can repair the damage to skin's DNA, thus reducing the risk of cancer."

Other health experts say it also helps other vitamins work more effectively to rebuild skin cells damaged by environmental assaults, such as smoke and pollution.

You can take a daily Alpha-Lipoic Acid supplement or use creams that contain the antioxidant. Both ways appear to give a one-two-punch to help skin renew itself, and can be found in your local pharmacy or drug store, as well as online.

So I would recommend considering adding it to or making sure that you have it included in your skin care arsenal. I know I do!

This but just one nutrient that is extremely powerful both inside and out for your body, tomorrow I am going to share even more that will surprise you.

I always like to give everyone more access to information that you can use today so visit the next link below to get step-by-step information on how to keep your skin healthy, clear, and youthful looking!

Are you going to put this nutrient in your skin care line? Also what about developing something with collagen in it as it is one of the foundations of having young plump looking skin. This would be great for those of us who have lost some of that volume and don't want to go the injectable fillers route, and will also help in reducing the appearance of wrinkles and keep skin looking young and plump.

how long we can get maximum results??

Great Questions. AS of the science of today...there is no way to get collagen into the skin from the outside. This is because the bodys skin is designed to keep forien material out. However, things like a skin peel can spark the skin to generate its own...and the addition of nutrients in the diet like ALA and DMAE can enhance the body to do this as well. Skin is ongong in its replacement of its cells. ~chris~

Hi! Fish oil is wonderful for the skin. I take it daily. Be sure to follow recommendations on the label of your fish oil product and do not over do it.
