2009 Annual Skin Care Update Has Unfortunate Data!

As we enter the 2009 holiday season, I always receive a tremendous amount of questions about what to do to get skin clear for all the social activities that are ahead. It's important to look and feel good so you can enjoy this time of year!

Then there is also the issue of what to do, what products to use to get fast improvement, and the additional concern of what to tell family and friends you would like as gifts such as soaps, lotions, and other personal care products.

No one wants a stocking stuffed full of items that are going to cause you problems. Everyone wants to make the right choices. So, that said, I have included some very important information for you to read below.

Truly, it is with great timing that I am able to share the very latest information on today's skin care from my resources like the American Dermatological Association and American Holistic Health Association, as they release their facts and findings.

Distressingly for those people suffering with acne and other sensitive skin issues the news on the conventional front is not good!

Of course I already knew this as I have seen a large increase in the amount of people coming to me for assistance, as they find out that so many of the commercial and over-the-counter products just are not helping them.

This is particularly tough on those who do not have the money to waste on products and methods that do not work. I just shared this very same information on Fox News and I am including here for you today.

2009 Annual Skin Care Update

1. In 2009 there has been a 23% increase in the reported cases of severe acne cases. This means that as people continue to make the same basic choices in how they care for their skin, more and more people who never had acne or other skin issues experience them to the point they feel they need to see a doctor.

The most frightening part of these reports is that the likelihood of mild to moderate acne becoming sever enough to cause permanent scarring and skin damage if left undressed is about 90%.

This again busts one of the biggest acne myths which is that acne will get better on its own with time. Why anyone would want to wait for their acne to get better is beyond me.

2. At the same time these reports show that the effectiveness of antibiotic treatments has fallen to such a degree that many medical professionals no longer even prescribe them. A good thing in my book.

Instead, there is increasing reliance on the same old topical products that contain retinol, salicylic acid, and benzyl peroxide! Which, by the way is the very same 'stuff' in Proactiv, Zenmed, and many of the other chemically-based mail order products.

3. Currently there are no new medical treatments on the horizon that have proven effective against the battle with acne.

If you are suffering from any kind of acne issues this is NOT good news for you! You don't need to rely on these types of treatments, you need a step-by-step solution to end acne for good.

On that same Fox News show, I was asked why so many people continue to choose these methods that do not work when the evidence today is that by simply changing your skin care routines and making some different and easy choices your skin can be completely rid of acne?

In fact, the host of this particular show had taken my advice from a previous expert segment I gave and let everyone know that her 3 teenage boys had not suffered a single acne breakout after she implemented the methods from my "Acne Free in 3 Days" book.

No wonder the station manager rushed to catch me as I left that morning to get a copy of the book for his teenage son who just completed a round of Accutaine with no results.

There is HOPE.

The one piece of good news from these scientific studies was that the number of people turning to alternative natural methods of working their body on health issues continues to increase, and, the number of people reporting that they got results they could not achieve with contemporary methods has also increased.

Our own experience with my clients who read and follow the methods in "Acne Free in 3 Days" has always been that 95% get complete relief from their acne problems. It works. Don't put it off another day, follow through to the next link to learn more about my book.

Hi Chris. Thanks for the helpfu skincare info that you're giving us. I call acne the thorn in my flesh because no matter what I do, it still comes back. I'm turning 41 this year and I've had it since 14.I've used antibiotics, roaccutane, the pill, topilcal agensts, you name them. My biggest fear is how long do I have to still live with it for, and what about the side effecrts of all this meds? Currently, I go back and forth between Minocycline and Roac, and if I stop cold turkey and try natural alternatives, it all comes back, very angrily all over the face! As a woman, do you think the hormonal route is advisable? Please tell me a bit more on any research that you may have done on this (e.g. androgens and their side effects and long term use).
